There are price differences at our clinic depending on the size of fillings, e.g. if they are one-surface, two-surface, three-surface or tooth restoration. We mostly use dental fillings when there is a cavity (caries); for fractured teeth (when a tooth is broken); or when you lack dental substance. It can, for example, be caused by excessive brushing – when tooth enamel is worn down. Stained teeth can also become lighter by adding a dental filling.

If you have a loose filling, it is important to replace it because a larger cavity can be formed beneath it. When you have dental cavities, the size of the filling will vary depending on the cavity or damage size. If there is a large cavity near a dental nerve, we often try a temporary filling first to see if the nerve is dying or not. If it goes well, you should come back to get a permanent filling. If a large part of a tooth is broken, a better solution would be a dental crown to preserve the tooth as there is not enough dental substance to hold the filling.

There are several types of material for dental fillings, e.g. amalgam fillings (silver fillings), which are rarely used today, but many people still have fillings like these in their mouths from earlier interventions. If you have an old amalgam filling you want to replace, you can do it at our clinic. Plastic and porcelain fillings are used nowadays.
